Large Replacement fuel tanks
And i am wondering who has found other factory tanks from othere models that work for conversions that provide more capacity and fit with some minor elbow grease and work like robbing one from a bronco or a side tank from a van. what sizes are out there from ford and how successful where your conversions. I would ultimately like a front tank with around 20-25 gallons and a rear with 30-38 that was not as deep as the bronco tank. I am not concerned with the intank pumps with my diesel as i already retroed the orginals to work with diesel fashioning a pick up is not hard.
Thanks guys

The bumper is misleading a company out of missoula here makes them and they only weigh about 200 lbs, we figured 350-400 total with the winch its the winch that gets you. mine saged with the winch and bumper about 1.5-2" but then i took the springs into a spring bender and had him increase the tension. you could find a spring shop and for $75 a spring get some heavier tension coil springs and specify the length that you want to compensate for the load. Thats what the mining companies do on thier half tons w/ front bumpers etc. and that is what alot of the 4x4 van conversion companies do and thier 3/4 ton and 1 ton springs interchange with a 1/2 ton all youll have to watch is height since your strong arm will only compensate so far.

if you want i can get in touch with the guy and see if he still does them and what he charges, and find out his number. i saw him put one on a bronco without the winch and it seemed to only drop a little and with the heavier springs like you have i would seriously doubt you would loose more than an inch. especially without the winch. If i remeber he uses either deck plate or flat for the cover plates. i choose the smooth for the cleanliness.
