any update on hellfirejim?
The last message I had from Jim was late September. I had followed up with him after our visit when I delivered his fenders which so many of you good folks helped out on. I had hoped that a few of us in the Central IL area would be able to go up as a group for a visit. Jim told me he was up for it but it all depended on how he felt and that he hadn't been doing well. As some of you know Jim has been battling serious medical issues for some time. He wanted to be the one to update all of you when he felt the time was right. I'm hoping for an update from him but I'm not sure if we'll get one. At the time of my visit he told me there would be no more treatments and that he had family coming to stay with him. I have tried several ways to attempt to get an update but have not been successful. As Jeff mentioned my crazy work schedule has really limited my time the last few months. As soon as I can find some time my plan is to drive up (about a two hour drive from me) and see what I can find out. Jim told me at the time of my visit he really appreciated getting out of the house as he hadn't been able to do much of that in recent times. He was also humbled and blown away by all of the effort made in getting him his fenders and all the thoughts and prayers that had been expressed regarding his health. He did also tell me that he was making plans to sell his truck to a local friend who ran a body shop. This friend was going to continue to work on Jim's truck with Jim''s vision in mind.
Jim asked me to let him update everyone so I haven't said much. I will update all of you when I can. I hope it will be good news. Please keep Jim in your prayers.
Rob
