Idle problems

I have a 1992 F250 4x4 with the 5.8l. I just bought it recently to drive to work. I replaced the tps and the idle sensor that is on the side of the throttle body looks new. It idles very high rpm, when you put it in gear it jumps in gear real hard (due to rpm). Is there any suggestions out there other than vacuum leaks? Thanks

Does it still idle high with the IAC (the solenoid on the side of the throttle body) unplugged? If it does you are still looking at a vacuum problem or someone before you has jacked with the Idle stop screw.

Check the vacuum reservoir. They are notorious for corrosion, leading to a major vacuum leak. Remove nuts from the underside of the pass fender liner.
