I'm looking to get OEM running boards for my 03 F-250 supercab. I can't seem to find the part number for the style running boards I want. I also don't want any aftermarket ones that look close enough to these (I'm real picky about what I want on my truck)
These are the running boards I want (just a random pic off google):
are you still looking for a pair? and what are you doing with the ones in your profile pic?
yea I'm still looking. Found some aftermarket ones that look like oem but ford tells me they are $412 for each side . I'm leaving mine on until I get new ones.
I had the dealer put a pair of Luverne stainless steel running boards on my 2012. If I remember the cost was about $400 installed. They are not cheap, but they are strong and look nice.
The early OEM style running boards (pictured above) are my favorite as well. When I first joined FTE back in 2006, you could find these OEM running boards on eBay or Craigslist at reasonable prices. However, it's been several years since these have been made by Ford and the selection is virtually gone now. There is no way that I would pay $412.00 per running board, even if they are OEM.
IMO, the aftermarket running boards in the style below are the best value. You probably have seen these OEM style running boards at RunningBoardWarehouse.com. At $259.00 w/ free shipping, they are a great value. Sometimes they are cheaper on eBay by the same seller...
Furian, those are the exact running boards I am ordering. And yea there is no way I'm am paying $412 for just ONE side. That is ridiculous. Hopefully they turn out to be a good and not cheap. We'll see...

I just picked up a set of factory running boards from a guy on CraigsList with a wrecked truck. $50 for the pair! I'll have my stock tube steps up for sale soon!
km1210 I'm trying to do the same thing, i have the same factory boards you do but i want the older one piece grey plastic ones for the winter and hunting seasons to stop salt and mud buildup on my doors. I was going o buy the aftermarket ones you order but didn't know how or if they looked good. I second the feedback on the steps especially since i might order them too!
Ok. Finally got the running boards installed. Overall, everything went great and I did not have a problem putting them on. The new boards are also fully adjustable to how you want them which was pretty cool. I think the hardest part was taking the old running boards off. Hopefully now this will stop all the dirt, mud, and salt from hitting and rusting out my doors. I would recommend these to anyone wanting close to factory running boards.
Wow! Those look awesome! I "felt" that those were the best value in the aftermarket but now I "know" that are the best value! Looks as good as OEM at a fraction of the price!
