7.3di engines differencers
Just want to get this clear.
1997 engines are different and in 1999 the engines were changed again?? Am i correct. in 1999 the blocks and cranks are different than the 1997?

Some 1997 had the AC split shot injectors that the e99 had but most 97 had AA single shots and all of those had 15* hpops. Late 99 had AD splits and a 17* hpop. 97, e99 and l99 all have a different turbo config. 97 is the same from 94 up. E99 had its own and l99 is the same till 2003. The blocks cranks and every hard part are pretty well the same on 97 and 99. A few small differences in electronic plugs and such but everything is in the same location.

i found a manual that says in 1997 the block was changed a bit stronger and in 99 the crank and block are different. i have a link
