well i have problems! the 426 is running off a 460 computer, it does ok not the greatest! i have a couple of ques. for anyone who can help! first things the E4OD works but the TC lock-up is working backwards , meaning it locks up when you mash into the accel at 65/70 then when you let off it unlocks and stays that way. it only seems too be locking at full throttle. Second will a lightning computer non-mass-air EEC do a better job than the 460 EEC? If i go to the lightning EEC will i have too run larger injectors? anyone have a part No. for a Speed density or the MassAir lightning computer ? Does the map sensor effect the trans control? I would greatly appreciate any help or suggestions.... thanks JD
I would recommend against the 351 lightning EEC, you would have a different injector firing order. Then again, you would be going to sequential injection instead of bank. You might get away with switching the injector wires around to match the 460 firing order...
a 426 stroker........what is that? I can only guess its a version of the 351W stroker. But it sounds like you originally has a 460 installed? Probably the only way to get out of the computer problems will be to use a mass air system. The speed density version of the 351 probably wont allow enough fuel in and the 460 may either be to much depending on the extent of the 426 or most likely not the appropriate mixture at the right engine speeds or conditions. And I don't know much about the torque converter problem except to point a finger at the computer if it is a different one than when it used to work good with your old engine.
