I put the complete kit on mine. I hadn't disassembled it yet so I wasn't sure what I would find and I knew it was leaking. Also, it was the only part# on hand at my local dealer. I agree however the spring and seal kit is the cost effective way to go as there was no problem with the cover or screws.

It isn't expensive either way if you buy from an online sponsor. I had enough trouble finding the kit without the cover that I just bought the whole thing. We're only talking a few bucks difference.
Ed has the same kit as that eBay seller for $56.40, buy you'll have to pay shipping. So about the same price delivered.
