today when i ran in the store heater was working fine, came out started the truck and nothing! the lights on the climate control was out and no heater.so i figured i blew a fuse,so when i got home i pulled the fuses, and none were blown.so when i got in the truck to take it to the garage the heater was working, digital display was working and everything was good.so if its not broke you cant fix it.so now i just have to wait until it does it again, anybody ever have this happen.i figured it was maybe a corroded contact on one of the fuses, but thats generally not my luck, and i figure the digital climate control is pretty expensive.any body have any ideas.the truck is an 06 250 harley edition with 94,000 miles
I have had 2 trucks do it. Both 2005 models. Usually I notice it when I'm backing out of the driveway, I just stop, shut it off and restart and all is well. About 2 months ago it wouldn't come back on. I shut the truck off and started several times while running errands. I ended up pulling the climate control electrical connector off the back of the unit and reseating the plug. Havent had an issue since. I didn't even pull the dash, just reached up from underneath. Hope that helps. Good luck.
Mine did this twice in a couple of weeks right after I got it. As crmarshall said, a restart would make it work. Didn't do anything to it but hasnt done it again in almost a year.
Mine has done it A few time when I used my auto headlamp and a couple without using them I found a thread the said to turn vehicle off and use key fob to lock doors then unlock with fob works everytime. Since I stopped using auto headlamps it's only done it once
I have an 05 as well mine does this a couple times a year. Usually if I turn the headlights on and off it starts working again. I don't know how the two are connected other than a dimmer switch but it always works. When mine does this the whole Climate control unit is off until I play with the lights. Strange I know.
