01 PSD no start, no power

My brother called a little while ago and said his 01 had no power, no interior lights, wont crank, nothing. He just got this truck and isn't very mechanical and im trying to help over the phone. All battery connections are tight and clean. Any idea where to start? Thanks for the input guys

Check wires to the starter,and the starter bolts. Got to be batteries or cables if no power at all. See if all chassis grounds are tight n clean.

I was thinking something along those lines. He just called back and said there was a loose wire by the fuse panel, but without seeing it, I don't what it is

I appreciate the input. Turned out to be a bad negative battery terminal. Nice quick, cheap fix
