i've done it again
well when i installed everything the first time i fixed the new tp sensor that the tabs inside the hole were engaged with the throttle shaft and when i fired the truck up the rpm stayed at 1500 constantly. so i then took everything off and reinstalled the tp sensor so the tabs weren't engaged with the throttle shaft and then proceeded to hook everything back up and in the process the plastic shaft on the throttle cable broke so now the cable sticks and the throttle won't operate and to make matters worse when i got the truck started it now idles at 600 rpm and the check engine light stays on constantly and won't go off. i even disconnected the battery for about 2 minutes to clear the codes. unfortunetly (or fortunetly depending on how you look at it) it got dark and i couldn't work on it any more today. so now i've got to figure out why the check engine light is staying on and i have to figure out away to fix my throttle cable.
well that's my pissing and moaning for the night...and if anyone has some suggestions please enlighten me because i don't like working on efi stuff, and i don't know that much about it to begin with.
thanks for any help
LR
