I am not looking for earth shattering bass, just something to fill out the sound of the current speakers. My current speaker are all mids and treble, they dont handle bass at all.
My question is though, with me being out of town and unable to measure my truck what do you guys think, here are the specs: 9-1/8"W x 3-1/4"H x 13-7/8"D
I have a single cab truck and I dont want it behind the seats, as I store tools back there. Think it will fit under a seat, either the drivers, middle or passenger, it doesnt matter to me as long as it fits.
Didnt seem like alot of interest but I wanted to follow up just in case..
I really wanted to fit this under the passenger side seat but my power wire was not long enough, if I had maybe 3' more of wire I would of been set.. S I switched the idea back over to the drivers side seat, it still looks totally do able, I wired up the whole system, and then it started to rain so right now I just have the system tucked behind the seat. Let me tell you this, this little unit really pumps out the bass!! Its so unbelievable!! I recommend one of these to everyone that wants to fill the low end of their sound. I have the bass **** turned 1/4 of the way up and that sounds perfect to me. If I turn up the bass **** 3/4 of the way up or higher it will actually shake all my mirrors and it still will not distort the music. I do listen to rock music, so YMMV depending on what you listen to..
Yes, it does come with high level inputs, you splice a couple wires into the rear speaker wires and you use that as your input, it would actually be much easier than ripping apart the dash to run RCAs and a remote wire from a aftermarket cd player. I have never personally used high level inputs so I can not say if there would be any sounds differences between the RCA and high level inputs.
Thanks for the update. I have been looking at this sub for awhile now but didn't know how it would sound. It seems small so I didn't think it would have much sound. After reading this and several reviews on crutchfield I think I will get one.
