New Thread requires, new problem
I have a 97 econoline that some times it won't start. Like today. It was driven to the market, went in, shopped, came back out, popped the key in, and no sound.
popped it on neutral and back to park while the key was in, then cranked the engine, and it started. CRAZY!
any ideas?

Does it click when trying to start? next time it does it try to crank it over again with out moving the shifter, if it still doesnt crank but does after wiggling the shifter then id be willing to bet you got a faulty saftey switch..
