It lives!... sort of...

i know you guys will probably hate me for saying this, but i ended up using ether to start my 300 straight six in my 87 f150, but it ran. but it'll only run on ether. the fuel pumps prime and run like they're supposed to, but i have NO fuel pressure. it's not spraying fuel everywhere or anything. i put gas into the tank (thinking it was empty) and still, not an ounce of fuel pressure. popped the line off before the fuel filter and had a friend cycle the keys and still, not a drop of fuel. both fuel pumps hum and all, but no fuel pressure. it was around 35*F out today, so it can't be a frozen fuel line. any suggestions?

only things to me that come to mind and Im sure others will chime in are your line is clogged or your sender unit isnt getting power, but seeing as they seem to be I would think possibly clogged sender, do you have dual tanks on the truck? if so have you tried to switch to the other tank and test? any codes (if applicable).

Is your fuel pickup sucking up (or has sucked up) a bunch of garbage in the tank?

right now, i have the fuel switch bypassed because the front tank isn't functional. and i also removed the front tank. i had some cooked wires going to the tank, which i replaced. i'm 99.9% sure i rewired it correctly because i checked about 15 times to make sure i had it wired in right. does the fuel tank selector valve have to have consistant power to it? i'm unsure at the moment whether it does or not.

pulled the dual function reservoir off and pulled it apart. all valves work fine in it, and the diaphragm looks almost new. pulling the tank tonight.

EDIT: pump's brand new as of September. Getting power back there. thinking the line cracked or something inside the tank.
