that's one way of putting it... LMAO
I bought a complete 4 set of Yoko's at my local tire dealer and the sidewalls cracked 2 years into ownership. I learned a lot about tires during this event.
Yoko prorated my miles driven and I paid the difference for a new complete set which turned out to only be about $120 out of my pocket installed.
Go to the Pireli website and do some research if you are affected by this.
Check the sidewall for the build date, they could be old as hell.

Pirelli does have a warranty with olny 13k on mine i'm olny geting 50% on 2 and 40% on 2 what a joke! The odd thing is that most are seeing the cracking on the inside sidewall of the tire not the out. I'm geting some Michelin LTX ms 2's instaled today to replace the pirelly's under the warranty. The build date on myne were late 2009 so that is not that old and should not be doing what they are yet!

At least you're getting some assistance with replacement. I only had about 20K on my Yoko's when I discovered the sidewalls cracking. I think I got between 50-60% replacement assistance. The tire dealer also gave me a killer deal on four new Yoko's and they never had any issues.
my pirelli's are cracking on the outside and not on the inside, asked belle tire about this and they were no help, i recently rotated tires and did check the insides and were crack free, was told that tire shine was very bad for tires and should not be used. these are the only tires that i have ever seen this on and only have 43000 miles on them, truck is parked out side and recieves no special attention out side of normal miantenance. truck to be traded soon and was told then that tires were toast.
Tire dressing products can strip the rubber of chemicals deteriorating the tire.
Another major contributor to sidewall cracking is sun exposure.
What is the date of manufacture embossed on the tires?

truck is an 06 fx4 and tires are original, I dont know what the date code is but i dont think that maybe they are that much older, at any rate this s not a new problem for pirelli or ford, I stopped using tire shine products on all tires a few years ago because i started reading about these problems with other manufacturers tires.

I've never had an issue with that. I just replaced the rear tires on my Mustang after 12 years of Armor-All/Son of a Gun and they still aren't cracked. The good stuff with UV protectant keeps the sun from rotting the tires.
I guess if they are an inferior tire to start with, it could be possible.
Most OEM tires are a cheaper version of what you can buy aftermarket.
This prolbem if read in to on the other site the prolbem semas to be for most all cases on the inside side wall. So neather of the following would be the cause of it that i know of. Like i stated more have been fairly new the tires on my truck were made in late 09 as the truck was a mid 10 model. As well i do use tire dressing on my tires all mothers products and there was not one crack on the out side of my tires.
