Neighbor's friend's friend throwing parts at no start truck

I have been watching my neighbor's friend's friend
Throw parts at his truck. 1994 F150 4.9 auto.
So far
New fuel pump
Fuel pump relay
Wires
Plugs
Cap
Battery

I went to check on them and the fuel pump is NOT getting
Power.

I do not know if it was throwing a code.

I asked, but I do not know if they even checked.

So any ideas about no power to fuel pump?

Dead PCM?

Check the simple things first.....Check the wires TO the pump....Establish that there is indeed, power to the wires to actually turn the pump on...

Then...Check the connectors...the one to the pump, the on from the tank to the frame rail...

Isn't there an inertia switch

Can switch be bad even if not tripped?

I did check that it is in the correct position.

Is a by pass test possible?

I'll check if there is a inertia test procedure also.

I also have to check Taurus evap canister code tomorrow
P0455 and P0457.

You can directly wire the pump to run, for testing procedures.....

i had a 89 4.9 and the wires for the fuel pump relay and the ignition relay had extremely bad corrosion to the point they broke off inside the connector.

I had one crap out in an 87 Bronco II!! You can pull the plug and jumper the plug to test...

I had a bad connector on my 94 and a friend had a bad selector switch on his dash. Even if you have one tank there is a dash connector where the switch would be.

Dash switch is a good place to check for voltage too. Forgot about that one. All the fuel pump circuit current flows through that switch.

Single tank set up. I'll try jumping inertia switch.

I gotta say I really doubt its the inertia switch, no need "jump" passed it a quick continuity test on it would quickly tell the tail. Wouldn't hurt to check a minute no. However with no spark added to the mix the problem is very likely back before that point power wise.

You said it has no spark, does the coil have battery voltage to it with the key in "run" position, at the "Red-lt green" wire? (positive side of coil)

When the key is in the "run" position does the Red wire to say the injectors have battery voltage in it? If it doesn't its a sure bet the fuel pump relay doesn't have it either.

If the coil doesn't have bat voltage at that red-lt green wire? then its a fairly safe bet the PCM relay doesn't have power to it either. Without power to it it can't close and in turn energize the Red wire to the (but not limited to) fuel pump and injectors.

See where I'm going with all that?

Then you state "I went to check on them and the fuel pump is NOT getting
Power
" but that is rather vague, could mean different things to different people.

If the PCM is getting power to close and energizing the red wire like it should, all that seams to be good to go? And has battery juice at the yellow wire to both fuel and PCM relays?

Try triggering pump to run via the self test port, ground out the port marked "fuel pump" in the diagram below with the key in the "run" position. The pump should run continuously if the pump is good and all the above mentioned circuits are functioning as they should.

Remember this is not my truck and I
Am not the primary care giver.

I did not say there is NO spark.

There is a new pump and the old
Pump was bench tested and it worked.

I plan to check self test port to ground
Pump, but I need to gain access to the
Truck. (jump 2 to 6) on the port correct?

I plan to also check ground curcuit too.
