platinum vs fx4
OK, I went to another local dealer today b/c they had several 4x4 screws advertised with the 6.5 bed and a couple other options I really wanted such as tailgate step, and leather. I thought the ad said a Lariat and an FX4 in stock. When I got there they had an xlt and two platinums with the 6.5 bed. Only one of then had the tailgate step so I was looking at it. Very nice silver platinum with all the goodies. actually a lot more than i was considering with the moonroof and Nav. MSRP was 52,xxx which is out of my consideration. Wifey wanted to drive it and at end of drive loved the truck and the eco boost. Other than the plat grille I really like it too. couple issues i am looking at. I offered them 40k and they came back at 44k plus tax and title. It seems like this is just a bit too much for an 11 model to me. That price included the 750 trade in allowance and any rebates including ford financing. I know asking for 12 k off is a lot but thats about 23 % so it seems in line to me. Hoping they call me later this week and reconsider but not counting on it. Sound like a fair offer to you all? secondly, I can put something other than those low profile tires on it cant I? I really would want some more sidewall for an even smoother ride I think. Recent buyers what are you seeing ?
