ok i have 2000 f 350 it has cold air 4 inch turbo back ats ported housing on turbo ts chip do u think i would get any noticable improvements with a wicked wheen in the turbo or a compressor wheel up grade open to suggestions i would like a 38R but not in the cash flow right now
a T in the line coming off of intake going to map sensor but before my boost relief valve where is the best place to mesure boost on one and i think i have a pinhole leak in my gauge line i need to replace it and see what happens but what about moving it to a better place ???
What kind of boost cooler are you using? There are some that actually leak large amounts of boost. That may be part of your issue. You need to have one that is a non-releasing type.
i am using a 20 psi i think pop off valve i bought it online some where what is the right one i should have
I dont want to push you to a sale so you will need to diagnose and make sure that is your issue, but it is common as a lot of people call those boost leakers not foolers. Here is a link to our OCR that does not leak any boost and is set to the maximum boost that the PCM can see without defueling.
i think i am gonna replace my bost line to gauge and then see what reedings i get then if no improvements i might get fid of my leeker and go with yours clay thanks
hey clay what about goind with the aih tapped fitting and use that for boost presure i would not minf deleting my aih and gettin rid of that pos boost leaker with yours ???
Either way should work. If your dumping boost you won't have full boost no matter what you do. Without the dumping valve what do you have? The only way your get above say 25 to 26 is to use a boost fooler not dumping valve, because of the PCM defueling.
Do you have a tuner, and are you on a stock turbo? Guys do push 30psi with stock turbo but I heard they are not long lived.
