yea i have a 1980 Ford F-150 Ranger 4x4 302 5.0L V8 4 spd manual. been working on it for a few weeks now and getting it road ready. went to see if the windsheild wipers worked and they dont. i looked in the owners manual at the fuse box diagram and the fuse is gone but you can press in the **** and it will run the pump for fluid but if u turn it the wipers wont come on. do i have a bad motor? or what do i do. please leave some tips or hints to help, thanks!!
The motor also has a hot wire(with the key on) going directly to it. When you turn the dash switch off, the motor uses the other power source to keep going till they get to the park position.
there is a spot for a fuse but when you go to put the fuse in its spot it wont stay, the prongs are gone to hold the fuse as if a fuse was never ment to be there, but in the owners manual it tells me in runs the winsheild wipers and winshield washer, but there is no fuse in it now and it will still run the windseild fluid out, kinda weird without a fuse being in there to power it, so im not sure if maybe the switch could be bad or is that even possible in that truck, ive never had that happen on my past 80 series fords so im confused
