2001 f150 computer

just paid $803 for new computer installed on my truck. truck still won't start, doing the exact same thing as before i took it into shop. a Dealership. now they want $600 more for a fuel pump. motor runs but won't startup. pls help what should i look for now? how can one tell if new computer was actually installed. thanks for any help.

The new pcm should be mounted on your passenger side foot well to the right side sittting sideways where the antenna cord comes in, by fuel cut off, the connector side goes through the fire wall and comes out beneath the battery

Is the pump priming when you turn the key on, before your turn it to start

thanks for quick reply

am not sure yet about the pump. im ticked with dealership as they said it was the computer now they are adding fuel pump. of course its all about the money, just trying to make a decision at the moment. thanks again for your info, really appreciate it.

The 800 is high, the reman pcms are about 250 and its only an hour to change if that and a half hour to flash it.

thanks for your reply i know what you just said but its a DEALERSHIP and i expected nothing less from them. Never Never Never will i ever buy a FORD again.
