Np205 or bw1356

Hello guys, I am currently getting my parts together for a manual 4 speed to c6 project and change on the transfer case from the Dana21 (2w/4w), this is on my 72 in my avatar, My question is will the newer 1356 work? I would like to get more ranges since I am having to give up my first gear in the np435? Thank you for any advice or direction

Gordon

I dont know if the 1356 will couple to a C6 or not but you may want to look for an NP205, they are plentifull and one of the best. Nice truck BTW!

Thanks bama, yea the np205 is the toughest, but looking at the ratios I think the 1356 might give me 2.72:1 were as the np205 is 1.96:1, but I don't know if it will line up correctly on the front axial? Still trying to see if the shift pattern on the 1356 had a 2L? I'm am trying to help with ratios with the change from the 4 speed manual to 3 auto. I am not real clear how this change out is going to change on pulling ?
