the cruise has stopped working on my truck. what can i check to see why it is not working thanks

I would certainly start with something as simple as a fuse.
Has anything else stopped working?? did your cruise all of a sudden just stop working while driving or just now when you tried to use it from the start??

Is your transmission acting up, too? If so, it's probably the ABS sensor in the rear end being covered with metal filing & not picking up the signal any more. This indicates more serious problems in the axle, so don't JUST clean it off...

Do you have ANY nonstandard wiring in the truck? (stereo, alarm, keyless entry, remote start, lights, CB)

The servo is under the hood by the L hinge and it has a cable that's supposed to be attached to the throttle cable under the semi-round black plastic cover on top of the throttle body. Make sure it hasn't popped off.

the cruise did not work when i bought the truck . also the horn does not wrk .i do not know if the two are connected somehow.

check the connection in the steering wheel ..there's a little plug there that holds the wire for the horn an the cruise it could have come loose. the horn cover just pulls off ,if you havent discovered, and exposes the plug.
