I have an 87 Ford Bronco (full size). My cluster has the volt meter and not the ammeter. I was wanting to get a cluster that has the tachometer. However, I dont want to lose the volt meter either.
What yrs am I limited to as far as which ones are a direct swap?
Will ther be connections already there for the tach or will something have to be afro engineered?
I put a cluster from a 87-91 style bronco in an F150 I had in order to add a tach. It plugged right up and worked. However, the Bronco had an AOD automatic trans and my F150 had the E4OD trans, so I had to swap out the PRN OD D 21 that was in the bronco cluster for the PRN OD 21 that was in my cluster, but that parts easy, it just snaps into the bottom. Be careful not to break the little cable that hooks it to the column shifter (if equipped)

And don't lose the adjustment gears...They're JUST small enough for you to miss them, and lose them.....Don't ask....
