I am not sure where u may get the truck but remember phrasing on the pre-trip inspections is very important.
For example, windshield is good is will not pass. It has to be clean, clear, and free of cracks and obstructions.
When I took mine, I hit every one of them from the front bumper of the tractor to the rear bumper of the trailer. Once I finished, the examiner said, nobody makes 100. He then said u forgot to tell me the clamps were tight on the brake chambers. I said, that was not on the sheet. He then said again, nobody makes 100.
Finally, I said, if I passed, thats all I care about. Lets get on with it.
Good luck on your test. Not sure either were to get a truck, I went to a truck driving school & used their truck.
I remember taking my test back in '97, I remembered the pre trip inspection as a song that I was singing in my head as the examiner followed me around the truck. It's goofy, but it worked.
I made a decent living driving, and kind of miss it somedays.
Whatever works, i called a school a told him i give u 500 fer a truck to take test, he said ok 3000 for whole class.... farker. Next school agreed to give me 6hour practice and truck to test fer 700 Ill take that deal i reckon.

Dang Franko, your showing your age now . Do you care to share the song with a couple of us that are looking at getting a CDL?
Captain Diesel haven't heard that song in a while. I wish they'd get behind that again in Washington on these fuel prices. One thing Bush F---- up on when he changed the way oil was bought in 2000. Anyway good luck on your test.
