Looking for a new selector valve
My truck is in my sig. I cleaning my old selector valve (or fuel reservoir which ever you would like to call it) a few times and it still doesn't work right and I want the use of my front tank back. The dealership wanted $355 for a new one 
. So I have been just using my back tank lol. The dealership gave me this part number e5tz-9189-b but I have not found anyone else that sells them or have the correct description for it. Every where I look it is being called VALVE & SOLENOID ASSY. But this it does not have a solenoid in it. I have found the part under the part number F1UZ9B263B for $125 on ebay and $179 on amazon.

My 1990 is set up differently than your 1989 in the fuel delivery aspect. With that in mind, I believe that you have come to the correct decision on the part number.
Hopefully, some one with direct experience will chime in.
