Looking for a new selector valve

My truck is in my sig. I cleaning my old selector valve (or fuel reservoir which ever you would like to call it) a few times and it still doesn't work right and I want the use of my front tank back. The dealership wanted $355 for a new one . So I have been just using my back tank lol. The dealership gave me this part number e5tz-9189-b but I have not found anyone else that sells them or have the correct description for it. Every where I look it is being called VALVE & SOLENOID ASSY. But this it does not have a solenoid in it. I have found the part under the part number F1UZ9B263B for $125 on ebay and $179 on amazon.
The links are below.
F1UZ9B263B Ford Reservoir Assembly- Fuel Selector Valve OEM Ford | eBay

http://www.amazon.com/F1uz9b263b-Res...442734&sr=8-27

Here is a link from partsguyed.com with both of them in the cart.

Im thinking the F1UZ9B263B is the right part but I just wanted to make sure with yall.
Thanks for any help, Hunt

My 1990 is set up differently than your 1989 in the fuel delivery aspect. With that in mind, I believe that you have come to the correct decision on the part number.

Hopefully, some one with direct experience will chime in.

Good Luck,

-JR

Some additional information can be found in posts 9 and 10 at this link:

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/2...re-issues.html

It deals with the E150 Van, but the part number matches the one that your dealer gave you. I hope it is of some value to you.

Good Luck,

Thanks for the link and the help! The same thing happened to me but I did not break my valve lol. I will hopefully be ordering this soon. It looks exactly the same as the one on my truck but I just wanted to be sure. After this I will just about have a completely new fuel system.

Good luck with your fuel system.

It seems like all of the Ford dual tank systems had something or another that needed work.
