Smile Junk Yard stuff

I spent some time trolling my local JY. Haven't been there for a couple of years.

Question: will the rear drop bumper from an 89 F250 fit on an 83 F350 without a lot of modification?

Next: I found a good half dozen instrument clusters misc years from 81 to 91. At least 2 have tachs. I believe 1 is a diesel. Any interest? These don't have idiot lights, they are full gauges. They are still mounted in the trucks, so should still have the circuit sheets on the back. I will post a photo as soon as I can. My cost is about 65.00 American. Let me know. Also if you have a list of parts you are looking for, let me know and I can see what I can do. Not a lot of dash caps that aren't blemished or damaged beyond what is likely in your truck already.

I will be making another trip to the junkyard during my kids Christmas vacation. Next time, I will have better tools so that I can accomplish something more than just taking a screw out.

Bumper and grill guard for serious folks.

I thought this was kind of neat, so am including it just for the sake of something odd.

Quick question cluster gurus... if this is better elsewhere, let me know.

Can I put the tach in my current instrument panel? I have a speedometer and idiot lights. or do I have to rewire the dash? don't want to go to all that work of rewiring the dash.

thanks
Carl

The general rule is no, but if you can make it fit in the cluster you can wire it manually....

Where are you located? My only reason for asking is I just bought one for $25.00 from my local yard. That's all they want for the older truck ones, no matter if it has lights or gauges. It's nice to have a good spare.
