Hello to all i am currently in the process of purchasing a gray 2003 ford excursion limited 4x4 with 1540000. At 5500 dollars i feel that i am getting a deal. So far i have experianced the misfireing issue wich i belive has already been taken care of by installing new plugs.i have been reading through as much of this forum as i can without the wife killing me ...lol the first thing i would like to tackle are the rims because the tires are bald i will need to replace them so i would already like to go with an 18 - 20" rim it has a stock suspension and i would rather not lift if possible due to my two young children however i would be willing to raise to 2.5 inches at most
So ....
1)do i need to lift
2)if yes then which lift is good with what shocks
3)rims size width and offset
4) what tire size
Thank you to all for you help i have read through so many posts from many diffrent posters that have done many diffrent set ups to there trucks and to tell you the truth it has completly overwhelmed me
Check out a thread I posted about tire and lift calculating. Hope it helps... https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...alculator.html

You can go with a lift, but I don't think there is a lift on the market that will lift it just that little bit.
Another more popular option would be to swap out the crappy OEM springs for a set of F250/350 4x4 springs which will give you approximately 1.75" of lift.
This mod is known as the V-code, B-code spring mod.
Here is some "light" reading for you regarding this mod, as well as a ton more suspension information:
