Get your self a set of HID's from Retro Solutions.
I have put them in all my trucks and friends and I would not go without them.
Hey NWT, (or anybody else for that matter)
I got the Digital HID from Retro-Solutions and I'm ready to install them. Where did you mount the ballasts and run the grounds to? The ballast wires aren't very long.
I have the 55w 5000k ones and love them.
I had a set from DDM and they lasted about a year.
The Retro kits are a LOT better.
H.I.D.'s only last a year? Is that just the bulb or the ballast too? Still...a year...thats short.
Also, on a side note, does anyone remember who carries that kit that allows you to run your high beams, low beams, and fog lights all at once? I wonder if that kit also bypasses the factory wiring and effectively accomplishes what the whiter whites, brighter whites article accomplishes... Plug and play would be nice for those of us who wiring cant wire up a car stereo without wanting to rip their hair out.
I finally got to drive in the dark with the new headlights. Initially they were aimed a little low but that was fixed through some trial and error(also known as getting flashed by other drivers).
Funny thing is when I turn on the brights, the beam doesn't go out farther it seems to get wider. It also takes them a few seconds to turn off when I turn the switch to off when entering the gate on base.
