i just ordered the superchips 1705 and im going to be flat towing a 95 jeep wrangler. do you think ill have issues with EGT ? is it the same concept as towing a trailer of the same weight? i wouldn't think it would be because of virtually no tongue weight. anyone?
With the middle program, 60hp, it shouldn't be an issue, I've been towing with that program for quite awhile without any need to concerned about the EGT levels (have a pyro). I tow a 3500 lbs slide in camper (that creates a boat load of wind resistance) and an 18.5 foot boat. I did just buy one of the oversized stacked plate tranny coolers to replace the stock one... just to be on the safe side...
I like it a lot. I bought a K & N from a friend and went to clean it ... too much time and effort for me, I'd rather just toss the old filter and put on a new one....done. Great filtration and it really did change the sound of the turbo. The turbo spools up a little quicker and runs a little cooler. It was a great relatively inexpensive do it yourself mod.

Yes, while accelerating. The weight will only make a small difference at a steady speed on level ground. The air resistance of the towed vehicle makes a difference, too.
