It's been shifting poorly from 2nd to 1st gear, feels like I'm going over a cattle guard.
So I went and spoke with the service department at my local dealership on Saturday, they said sure drop it off and we'll take care of it Monday.
It's now Tuesday and they're telling me to come get a loaner because they haven't gotten to look at my truck yet.
How long is this going to go on and don't they keep some sort of inventory/schedule?
You certainly have a right to expect the shop to adhere to a schedule. Of course, sometimes repairs of vehicles already in the shop might take longer than anticipated but one extra day should be the maximum for a diagnosis.
Making an appointment is a waste of time. They still just get to it when they get to it. All they're going to do is reflash it anyway. At least they offered you a loaner. I don't even get offered a ride home.
ive been working in the number 3 dealership in the country for the past year. i can tell u its a long process with diagnostics on such a new vehicle. most of the time it is necesary to go through the hotline which is fords warranty aproval for the technicians. they send in their concerns and customer / vehicle info, proceed with diagnostic steps according to ford procedures and inform the hotline of their findings the hotline will then advise the tech how to proceed. if the dealerships service department is busy have patience. like said above appointment or not its still first come first serve. be patient and good luck.
My point was to commend his dealer for offering him a loaner, not to bash my dealer. I had a 6.0 PSD so I broke down all over and got to know dealers in a few states. Maybe I'm still a little bitter over that pile.
Bronco your truck looks like it has an 8' bed! BADA$$!
I'm assuming the picture is stretched?
I just got a call that my truck is finished and that there was a TSB for the issue. They said it was just a computer issue. I'll give more information when I have the paperwork.
Now maybe my mpg will go back up just a little
From my paper work: cause: erratic trans operation while driving and harsh clunk on stops and takeoff caused by calibration level and driveshaft slip yoke splines. TSB 11-10-15.
Necessary to perform TSB 11-10-15, reprogram PCM/TCM per TSB. Then remove driveshaft, separate two piece shaft to clean and lube splines to stop driveline clunk on take off and stopping.
What do they mean by "calibration level"? And are the splines something I can lube myself in the distant future?
calibration level could have been a sensor reading incorrectly? not sure as far as the yoke goes you probably wont have to worry about it as long as the seal around the slip yoke is intact
