Can someone tell me whats going on here? I know this shouldn't be like this and I think it happened when me and my dad were putting on the leafs in the front:
On a similar note, I have an 8" suspension lift and didn't replace my driveshafts. I don't really like the angle of the front shaft. What can I do to improve it?
This would be an 8" suspension lift. One more thing before I go mess with the shaft, the directions say to "clearance grind" the shaft if needed. What does it mean by "clearance grind"?

You don't really need to change the angle (should have been lengthened though) but there are a couple of options that I know of. 1- Have the front pinion rotated....I know that Dynatrac can do that. 2- Put a re-indexing ring on your transfer case. It will rotate it down to reduce the angle of the front shaft.

Shouldn't need to modify your shafts for a 8" lift.
You should be able to remove the yoke from the diff and slide it back onto the splines.
I have no problem with my angles on mine, and I plow snow in the winter with no problems, usually running in 4x4 24-7.
Clearance grind?? well the only thing I can think of is grinding the areas of the yoke if it were to much of an angle and there was binding.

I think it means you might have to grind the yoke to provide clearance if when you rotate the shaft you feel that it binds on you.
I also think you should have your front shaft lengthened with an 8" lift.
If the drive shaft cam apart, make sure that you line up the universal joints so they match, front to back or you will twist the daylights out of your driveshaft.
Also, if the angle on that universal is such that you have to clearance grind the yoke, you are probably going to go through universals more frequently.
Hey, its all good. Thanks guys for the input. All we did was take the yoke off and slide it back on. Thanks YETI for the input! Truck is now done I'll get some pics out as soon as I get some
