problem with door handles
I have a 92 F-150 and in the doors it has a cable going from the inside handle to the door latch. Basically when you pull the handle its pulls the cable which pulls the latch open and the door opens. Both the cables in my truck snapped this winter. Ford had a recall on them back in the day but that no longer exists. Ford wants 70 bucks a door. I have beed thinking of replacing the assembly with the old rod type out of an 89 bronco that i have for parts. Will this work. The bronco has no power door locks and my truck does. Will this affect the power locks if i switch it over? I really dont want a cable again if its just gonna break.

problem with door handles
I've swapped your style door panel into my old truck & it's not THAT bad - just a few screws around the pocket, one in the grab handle, & one by the vent window and the panel pops off.
