With the first good cool snap of the season (I live in eastern NC), I have noticed some white smoke in the mornings. It lasts less than 1 mile. My truck is parked in the garage at night when I get home. With the cooler weather could condensation be forming and causing the smoke or should I be concerned it is something else? I have not noticed this before now and this is the first time it has gotten down to freezing temps. I have had the 'rain dance' once back in the summer. The difference is the truck does not sputter now - it will still get up and go. Pipes are clean and has current flash. It is not alot of smoke but just enough I can see if I am looking hard enough.
It usually happens to me after I start up from my stop at the end of the offramp after a stint on the highway at highway speeds for about 35 or so miles. White smoke shudder and then its gone. it's like my truck passes gas.

You probably forgot to knock on the wood hanging from your mirror.

That sounds to me more like a little moisture build up in CAC.
Myt truck has been embarrasing the hell out of me.
I will get to a light and start to smell fuel,REGEN, next thing I know when taking off there is a cloud of smoke and it last for about 2 miles. Looking back you thought it was super foggy out.
I have twice now took the extra time to drive the 15 minutes to let the regen cycle complete. It regen on Friday and 117 miles later it regen yesterday on the way home.
Last week I was about 1/4 mile from small downtown ocala, fl. I see a bunch of smoke. I think to myself Ford truck. I get to downtown area and going over an overpasss in the distant is a ford truck smoking like mine did.
We are getting a cold snap and see if completing regen will help. I drive about 4 miles to work one way and mostly mine is driven as a grocery getter. I haven't been camping or boating so not towing once a week like I was.
