Yup! I remember buying a '75 Corvette from Joe with personalized plates.

Hid it in the garage until I got new plates that didn't say "JOESVETTE"

just my thought here, it is not about money on any old car or truck it is about the passion / love you have for them. 5,000 -10,000 dollars goes into full rebuild depending on the trucks condition when you started. When it is all said and done, in my case 6,500 is my budget. Take the truck out on 100 mile trip, then ask yourself did I do the right thing? The question is was my time worth the money I lost? Chances are if the question is yes, it was worth it. On rebuilds I have seen, the owner loses 1500 - 2000 dollars.
