After giving up with my transmission taking its sweet time shifting gears (automaitc), I asked my tansmission guy if he would recomend a shift kit. He said he only uses TransGo kits because instead of just firming up the shifts, the kit actually helps prevent common problems with ford ranger trannys. I don't doubt his expertise, but I was wondering if anyone has done a shift kit on theirs, and if so, is it worth the $475 he charges for the complete kit/service/fluid change? Thanks.
