I have always been a Ford truck owner but the engine died on my 86 F150 so I bought a 95 EB Bronco because I always wanted one but I still have my 00 F150. The trouble is the ABS light and battery light will not go out.
It has new brakes and calipers up front and a new battery and alternator. It did not come with a repair or owners manual but I do have one on order.
Can someone tell me where to start to look for the problem?
Just pick up a $12 Haynes manual (NOT Chilton's) from any parts store - it tells how to pull codes from the ABS system and shows the wiring diagram of the whole truck, including the alternator.
I also have a 95 and my ABS light comes on and stays on after I hit 15mph. Ive unfortunately learned to deal with the lack of 4-wheel anti-locks because I havnt had the $$$ to find out what the problem is and am afraid to see the price tag of getting that light out. Can anyone explain how to pull the code manually and then interpret it because without a job right now I can just get gas in it let alone buy a shop manual.
