1967 F100 Heater Control Help
Hey guys, new to the forum and just snatched me up a one owner F100 last night. I'm needing some help with the heater controls. I'm not sure what the positions need to be to get the heater to work. The heater is hooked up (as is the working factory air), the **** work, the fan blows in all of the settings, the vents and defrost work, but the problem is that I don't knwo what the *** settings need to be to get the HEAT to work. I tried folling around with it on the way to the office this AM but I couldn't get any heat to come out. I did notice that the old girl runs very cold which is leading me to believe that the thermostat has been removed and this may be my problem. It still doesn't help me with what position all of the **** need to be in. Any idea? Thanks in advance for your assistance!!

Nevermind, I sorted it out this evening myself. The middle push / pull opens up the heater hose valve on the fender well in the engine compartment. I guess the valve was a little stiff and bent the cable. Once I got a good look at it and saw the cable was bent and the valve was closed I opened it by hand. Now the cab is piping hot. I spoke with the PO and it does have a new thermostat installed. He said the radiator is the oversized factory copper one and that it always runs very cold even in the middle of a blaxing Texas summer. I guess that is a good thing. Anyhow, heater problem is solved. Over & out~~~
