That pic is awesome. That's exactly the look I want on my 63. I'd love to get some more pics, measurements, how-to's, etc. on how you got that drop. Post here or send them to my email. Thanks.
I will try to get some more pics on tomorrow since the truck is in storage ( Im trying to finish another project first, anyone ever get two or more going at the same time)
The front sheet metal is just sitting on it I can take it off and get some good shots of the clip installed.
It has a 351C in it right now but I think I want to go to a blown 4.6 overhead cam Ford engine with a overdrive trans just to be a little different
Here are some front clip pics It would almost be better to take the engine out to show how it really fits but this is all you get now . Never mind the rusty stuff I will completely strip the front end and clean, paint then reasemble, The last Unibody I did I pulled the body off the frame and sandblasted, welded, filled the frame, not this one I want to drive the pee out of this one.
Good eye! Thats the only problem I am having I should have had an inch more neg backspace built into the wheels when I had them done. The fronts are 18x9 and the rears are 18x11.
They almost turn lock to lock (lack about a half inch on the stops)
I can adjust the stop OR does anyone need some 18x9 Torque Thrust II's for their Ford
Cool, I really like the look of your truck. Mine is a 65 stepside. I just paid for it today. Hopefully can start digging into it this week. I just cant decide whether to go with the new front or leave it as is. I want it to be able to turn lol.
you have a very nice looking truck (5.0L) I plan on doing a mustang II front on my 65 and using air ride on the front. I will be using a 4-link on the back with bags also. My dad's 51 ford has a volare front end under his truck and he wishes he would have used the mustang II. After he spent the money to rebuild the volare front end and buy drop spindles for the volare he had as much as a mustang II would have cost him. The volare front ends ride good till you crank the torsions down and they start bottoming out. that is the reason he bought the drop spindles and cranked the torsions back up, for a better ride
I thought about the Mustang II front at first but by the time I bought the good kit with coil overs, Spindles, all the goodies it was about 3200.00 bucks. I have about 800.00 in the volare with all the new parts. and I stuff the clip up in the frame far enough it will sit low enough with the clip at normal ride height.
They say the Dakota front clip is another good one!!!!
