Just because a performance item is great on a gas engine doesn't mean it has the same effect on a turbo diesel.
Of course it has the same effect. Airflow is airflow, and more is always better, especially on a turbodiesel where adding more fuel is as easy as plugging in a bigger chip and injectors, and sufficient air to burn that fuel becomes the limiting factor.
If it made such a huge performance gain they would have been available a long time ago.
They have been available for a long time, just not for us. I assume the packaging nightmare that designing headers for this entails would not be terribly cost effective, thus no one has bothered.

Thanks so much for all the response on this so far,
The intakes should be here by Friday there were some changes done, Last mintue stuff on them. I just got off the phone with them and they are in the CNC machine right now. I sent over some spec's on the headers today along with a motor for them to play with. As for performance not to sure of that yet. The only way to find out it to dyno the engine before and then after the headers are installed. Some other things that will be here next week are the water neck and maybe the valve covers, Talk is coated(powder) or polished on these items, As for the headers there is a new coating out that will take 2500 degress with ease I will be meeting with them soon to do some testing on it,
Ken If you would like as soon as I get these parts I could email pictures for your viewing and get your input too,
let me know
Keep us posted. I would be interested in exactly what showed up on the dyno. Are you giving up the turbo or modifying the system to accept it?
I like the powder coat, we have started using it in some of the motrocycle applications. How it holds up with a PSD will be of interest to a lot of people. Thanks.
