Head gasket install
Well im following the book to a T and it said to coat head bolts with a coat of oil. Well i got the bolts torqed i noticed some oil coming from the gasket on the bottom side. Im not sure what i should do. Should i buy another set of gaskets and install w/o oil. do you think they will eveer seal?

I have always used either or something prior to installing headgaskets to make sure there is no oil residue on the surfaces, but it might be all right, I might would get it good and warm and retorque them.

Thanks for the replys but i went ahead and pulled the head back off amd im glad i did. It had enough oil on it i dont think it would have sealed correctly.
No i didnt stud it. Is there a reason to stud a 7.3 since it already has 1/2 head bolts?
