Ordered a set of bi-xenon HID kit from HIDExtra.com the other day, kit and wiringharness black friday special 57.99 shipped. Any tips on installation would be apreciated!!
The kit I have from ddm tuning was really easy to install, took me roughly 40 minutes because I made it neatand organized. Basically the kit utilizes the plug for the oem bulbs. On mine I used the passenger side plug and it plugged into the wiring harness for the HID's and thats where the power comes from. And they make a HUGE difference at night, I have 55w bulbs now and its like night and day. I actually have trouble driving my moms car with the regular headlights because they are so dim. Make sure you adjust your headights down a little bit people aren't to fond of bright HID's in their faces, I can't even count how many time people have givin me the finger or keep flashing their high beams at me.
I have the DDM 55w also. I can wear my shades at night.
Some people get radio interference from the HID ballasts that messes with their chip. I have a DP tuner and it died occasionally (twice during the first month) when my auto headlights popped on. The fix is a RF choke, aka ferrite bead, placed on the cable near the ballast. I got mine at the local 'ripoff shack'. I put one at each ballast and another up by the tuner for cheap overkill, and no problems since.
I had to switch the polarity of the wires in the DDM-to-OEM harness connector. Seems like a common DDM issue but your kit may be the same. Just swap the wires in the new connector if your hi and lo are reversed.
Ive been thinking about a set also, my only issue it that I would want to shut my auto lights off. With my truck being lifted at a drive thru I blind people as it is when I have the lights shut off/autos on.

That happens to me a lot, especially while driving at night my lights tend to blind people
I'll try to get a pic of mine with the DDM tuning 55w 4300k bulbs in my 2000. I like it but I am not lifted or anything. I need to adjust the lights up a bit because I think they are a little low but I didnt want to blind people. My brother borrowed the truck and couldnt believe how much brighter it was. The light beam isnt that bad in my 03-04 headlights, I have a pretty decent cutoff line. I was going to install fog lights on my truck but havent done it yet because of how bright the lights are.
Much more light than stockers, I got the 6000k, would go with the 5000k next time, not into the blue hue. Have to adjust headlights up some, seem to be shining too low. All in all very pleased, getting some for the bike next!
