Problem removing stuck inner spindle nut

I have a 1991 f150 4x4 5.8 automatic with auto locking hubs. A front right wheel bearing started making noise. Removed the locking hub, c clip, star washer, washer with all the holes too, and outer (first) spindle nut. Problem i have is the inner (second) spindle nut is not moving at all. I have put a 1/2 inch breaker bar and a 3 foot cheater pipe with no luck at all. I used to consider myself a knowledgeable guy but after fighting this truck for 3 days im starting to reconsider my asessment. Please if anyone has a suggestion before i haul this turd to the scrap yard.

Sounds like the bearing may have gotten hot enough to weld the nut to the spindle. If you spin the rotor does the bearing make a whole lot of noise? Got a lot of play in the wheel bearing?

Yes the bearing does make quite a bit of noise when i spin the rotor and there is a noticeable bit of play in the rotor when wiggled back and forth.

Hammer and chisel time and proably new spindle also due to heat damage already caused by the hot bearing.

I've got them out by turning them with a large mallet and chisel(sharp) and plenty of force. You will stretch the nut as you make progress so maybe you can salvage something.

The problem i think i would run into on the inner nut is it is so far inside that i dont think i can ever hit the darn thing. Want to buy a truck?

Nooooooooo! the thing after the first spindle nut is a safety washer! you just need to pull it, the washer has some holes where the pin in the second nut fits (it's a safety measure to prevent the second nut from turning, so you won't be able to turn that special washer EVER). THEN you will have access to the second spindle nut. Also, there is a spindle nut socket for these nuts, i hope you're using it (mallet + chisel = destroyed useless spindle nut).

Here they sell the socket: http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web...U_T|GRP2062___

P.S.: I'll have your broken truck for $100

Removed the first nut then a couple of washers. Now there is a nut exactly like the first one that will not move. i can see the wheel bearing directly behind that second nut. well...whats left of the bearing anyway.

I assumed he already had the keeper out otherwise he wouldn't be able to get his socket on the nut!

A BIG hammer and punch or chisel.. try to cut it or break it. What tools do you have? Dremel with a cutoff wheel might get in there to cut it.
