Whats up. I got the jumpy idle squared away it seems. Its been better as of late. BUT now I have a fuel leak. Its coming from the lowest line going from the fuel bowl to the FPR. Its dry rotted. How should I go about fixing this? I think I have to remove the FPR, but I bet there is a process for doing so. I just want to ensure that I go about this the right way. Thanks ahead of time, and Im sure this has been gone over before but Im at work and cant search for some reason. Thanks and dont flame me for not searching as aforementioned.
Pull the bowl assembly with regulator attached, that is the easiest. You can either go to the parts store and get 30R9 fuel injection hose or order the hoses from clay.
Yep pull the fuel bowl and frp together and change all the rubber lines and that would be a great time to rebuild the fuel bowl and fpr. You can get the oring kit from Dieselorings.com for around $12.00
cool. I suspected this, but the two rails that go to the head freaked me out a little. I didnt want to mess anything up. Thanks for the advise. Im just gonna make another order from Clay and get a couple of things I had been meaning to order anyways as well.
I just put in an order from clay and got the following....
-fuel bowl/fpr o-ring kit
-all new fuel lines (from bowl to fpr and the pump lines)
-turbo intake boot
-intake manifold "Y" boots
He sold me on a couple of other lines as well. He said if I didnt do them now it would be stupid as the whole thing is gonna be out anyways. Hes a nice guy. Ill always order from him.
