noise when coasting

noise when coasting

my 06 f250 5.4 is making a weird noise that sounds like it is coming sometimes from right underneath me, sometimes it sounds like it is in the rear of the truck when i take my foot off of the gas, when the brakes are applied it goes away. It seems to make the noise in reverse as well. Anyone else ever have a similair problem?

Sounds like a center support bearing on the drive shaft.

I can feel it under me real bad almost as soon as i take my foot off of the accelerator. if this is the case what is a ball park estimate for something like that.

Looks like it is the rear end. My regular mechanic had just fixed a leaky pinion seal on the rear end a week ago, sounds like something may not have been done correctly.
