Looking for some chrome west coast style mirrors for my f-3. Saw some posted on here on some dualy pics but havent been able to find out what there off of. Anybody done this yet?
I just sold a set off of the panel panel truck I'm parting out. They were original Fords with the Fomoco logo and were stainless. I wish you would have posted this about a week ago. They were in pretty good shape, only needed the mild steel hardware replaced. Sold for $75. They show up on eBay every so often:
I have the Ford script SS west coast mirrors on my '56 F350 DRW. They are sized to look good on this truck, have the forward brace and do not vibrate at any speed.
The mirrors I'm looking for stick out further than those so i can see down the sides of my gooseneck trailer. Have a pic of what I'm looking for but FTE wont let me post pics. If you Google Duallies, I love them. - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums it should go to a pic of a 49 with the right mirrors maybe someone here knows how to transfer the pic Thanks, Ken
The truck has a few mods to it. IH rear axle with Ford gears so he could retain the original five hole Ford bolt pattern. It also has a big Caddy engine. The guy hauls a fifth wheel trailer. I've seen it go down the road loaded hauling ***. It's a nice truck.

3 embossed vertical lines on the backside: genuine Ford mirror. This style of Western "Swing-Lok" mirror was introduced in 1967.
Two types were offered: Western with 3rd steady-rest arm and Western Junior (as pictured) without the 3rd steady-rest arm.
The mirror head (C7TZ-17723-A) is the same 1967/79 for Western & Western Junior mirrors. The brackets are year specific to 1967/72, 1973/79 because the door contours are different.
1969/74 Econolines also used the Western Juniors. Econolines have a different door contour that F series.
