Hi all, fixing to change out both glow plug harness's. Question is what all do I have to remove to do so? Also time required? Thanks Rick

 

What year is the motor?

 

Well after looking in all the suggested places with no luck,the tag is missing on top of the FICM . I cleaned the back of the block and was able to half way make out the numbers...what a dumb place to put it. they are best guess, 6.0H020615711 If its any help the ICP sensor is located in the valve cover passengers side. Drivers side remove air intake system then unplug harness. On the passenger side it would be easiest to just remove the inner fender well to get access to the harness.

 

"Glow plug harnesses - passengers side:
For vehicle build date is 01/15/04 or later" 4C2Z-12A690-AB

"Glow plug harnesses - drivers side:
For vehicle build date is 01/15/04 or later" 5C3Z-12A690-A

 

Mark filled in the reason I asked the year.The early trucks have a resusable buss bar the later ones it's best to replace the harness.
