Exclamation 5.0 to 5.8 sd?

I currently have a 93 5.0 sd and i wanna drop in a 90 5.8 that i got would the 5.0 ecu work with the 5.8 if i change the firing order on the distributor? Also im planning to use the 5.0 accessories what additional problems might i run into?

It should run, that vintage 5.8 is no powerhouse so the 5.0 computer won't have much problem adapting. 5.0 accessory brackets should bolt right on, you will have to widen the exhaust Y-pipe... if so equipped.

what tranny do you have in your 93? the 5.0 flexplate/flywheel wont work on the 5.8 just so you know.

if you have the e4od then finding a 5.8/e4od computer should be easy as it was common.
