Looking at dual steering stabilizer upgrade for my 2005 F250 with 35x12.50x20's, seems like every one I have seen says its for a lifted truck. All I have is the snowplow springs and a 2" leveling kit up front. Is there anything that would work for me? Also what happens to the stock one if you upgrade to a dual one? do you keep in in place as is or remove it?
edit: though I would mention why I want one, for the most part I am happy with how my truck rides, the only time I see a problem is if I hit a large bump in the road, usually a pot hole or man hole/drainage cover. Then the whole truck wants to pull towards that. Its not a big deal when I am going 30mph but on a busy, narrow highway at night in the rain with no center divider at 60 mph it kinda scares me haha!
Depends on the brand. Rancho supplies duel kits for most applications. Just look them up and input your trucks specs. I love mine. By the way your old one ussually gets replaced.
If you shop around, there are probably some kits that do offer a complete replacement. Mine is an 04 as well so it's different. But judging by the quality of the Icon kit I installed compared to some of the stuff I was looking at, there is a huge range of difference in setup and price in the kits that are available for the leaf spring trucks. It wasn't the cheapest kit on the market by any stretch, but I'm really happy with the fit and finish of it. Doesn't look gaudy, and I'm pretty sure it's gonna hold up over the years.
I just ordered a used Rancho kit off ebay, the same style that is in the picture I posted. It is actually a used kit, said it was used for 20 days before selling the truck, he sent me some pictures and it all looked brand new. I paid half of what the kit costs new so I cant complain
If something is fishy about it, I should be able to return it with the ebay protection policy.
