Punks tried again to steal my '02 250. I keep it nice and clean, but still, it's 10 years old! Passenger door lock was punched out and they were working on the steering column, but I think something scared them off! Still, the made off with about $1000 worth of contents.
Looking for good spots to install kill switch, any of you out there have some creative ideas? Police officer said as little as a blinking light on the dash and a kill switch could make the punks move on to the next one. Just wondering what everyone else has. Not looking to spend a fortune, just something to help me sleep a little sounder at night.
When I lived in south Florida I lost 2 trucks and 2 bikes in about 5 years. I was thinking that a pound or 2 of C4 under the driver seat and a pager would work pretty good at stopping at least 1 thief.
The people to the south love Ford diesels. In Florida the problem was the island countrymen to the south.
Have you considered a paging alarm? Heck, I'd think about mounting the flashing led flush in the top of the door panel just above the door handle so they couldn't miss it!
Worked wonders for me twice! November of 2009 and 2010, scared them off and notified me of unathorized entry.
I like mine because in The Great State of Texas it's legal to shoot someone on sight if they're breaking into your vehicle as you're defending your property. There are certain conditions that must be adhered to, but nonetheless, God Bless Texas....
My wife talked me into getting an alarm next money as we both have extra pay days I have an XL so I ma trying to decide what I want to do.. Just get a basic alarm for pretty cheap, or go all out with an alarm remote start and convert to a power lock setup so I get remote entry. I just need to decide would I rather spend $150 and keep it simple or spend close to $600 and have more features than I know what to do with???
I really like those compustar alarm, but the thing I hate the most is having a remote with a trunk button on the remote and no trunk to pop
Seems to be a lot of auto theft in Texas. Sounds to me like you guys need to eradicate the trash in your state with extreme prejudice. Thats all I'll say, won't go into the details.
