back up lights

Been fighting all day finally have continuity from the switch to the light socket but still no back up lights. Does any one know what fuse they run off?

The backup lights work off a red-black wire through the BU switch and originates from fuse # 11 (15A) for 76-79s... same one powers the turn signal flasher and windshield washer. Through '75, it's a 14A fuse.
The circuit is grounded with the side marker and tail lights.

Ya didn't mention issues with the turn signals so I figure your problem is with the BU switch or the light sockets themselves - pull and clean the bulbs and contacts. It is possible for the bulbs to be inserted incorrectly and appear OK. Double-check please.

Automatic? It also needs a corresponding signal from the neutral start switch. Loosen it, insert a paper clip into the small hole, and align its internal detents.
