Hey all
I have a supercharged 6.8 v10 (powerdyne)
does anyone know where I can get 42lb injectors and the calibrated map sensor for the larger injectors???
buy the 42's and have your PCM dyno tuned and set buy someone who knows. Also sounds like you need to install a AF guage, which would also be fixed by the dyno tune. Have any pictures to post? Pretty sure this crowd would like to see this set up.
I've got 42's and baught a SCT big Air MAF,and Have a Aeromotive 340lph fuel pump and fuel pressure gauge.I have Don @Lasota Racing tuning my truck and is doing a fabulous job,I live where there is no tune shops in my area and so found Don.I liked the fact that he had a very informative web site and he is also a primary programer tech for SCT data.I'am running a Kenne bell SC on my rigg.
Hope this help's out....Cheers mate!8-)
here you are. www.lasotaracing.com
I got my injecters on ebay from importevolution then had to get special adapters so that they would fit my truck you can find those at Summit, they are fuel injector adapter Ev1 to Ev6 they were the leest expensive and work great you just have to be carefull when fitting them to the injector..
I got 8 - 39lb injectors and a 90 mm MAF for a lightning from www.buyfordracing.com
for $328.00 shipped then found 2 more injectors the same on ebay for
$50.00 apiece.
The injectors have the ev6 connectors with ev6 bodies and will
plug right in.
Still rebuilding the shortblock but should be done in about 2 weeks
I'm thinking a custom tune will be needed unless I can get my diablo tuner to get the AF right
You'll need a custom tune to get the A/F ratio right throughout the rpm range with a load. Best is to get it on the dyno. The Diablo tuner alone does not have enough adjustment to get you where you need to be.
Got the truck running last night,
I actually got the 90mm lighting MAF set fairly close with the diablo tuner for the 39lb injectors.
NOW! this truck runs like nobody's business. Pulls hard, smooth and a TON!! of torque.
I also added headers (after fixing all the broken off studs) and got rid of the restrictive junk stock y-pipe.
Wide Band AF gauge is on the way to be sure all is well and I don't hurt it.
I welded a bung in the down pipe just before the cat for the WB o2 sensor
Then off to do a dyno tune.

I'll post pics in a few days
If tunnings a problem, you can datalog your truck aimed at certain maf counts with a WB sensor along with WOT to get a custom tune to your needs shooting emails and tunes back and forth, Did it with my current set up via Mike at 5star. Real easy to do to
